Zeta Login FAQ

What is Zeta Login?

Zeta Login is our new cloud-based identity management system. Zeta Login provides a common login to all of the Zeta products and services.

How will Zeta Login benefit me?

Zeta Login has modern security features such as enhanced password strength checking, adaptive MFA, and SAML integration. Zeta Login simplifies the provisioning of users to Zeta products and acts as a foundational component for the next generation of Zeta products and services. Roll-out of Zeta Login will be done in a phased approach, which is mandatory, as it’s required for many new features.

When is it happening? What is the expected timeline?

Over the coming months, we'll roll out each platform in phases. Before your environment is included, we'll send you a new notification letting you know when the roll-out will start. This gives you time to prepare and let your platform users know they'll receive Zeta Login invitation emails.

If your specific setup requires additional work (e.g. the use of Single Sign-On), we'll contact you well in advance to confirm what's needed and make sure everything is configured correctly. In those cases, your environment won't be included in the first roll-out phase until we've reviewed the requirements and implications together.

As a customer, what do we need to do to set up Zeta Login?

Note: If you're using Third Party Providers, we'll contact you to layout additional steps.

After the roll-out process, the login domain will change to engageplatform.com.

To ensure a smooth roll-out for your team, we want to check a few things:

1. If your organization has a corporate VPN, please ensure that the following URLs are accessible within your corporate VPN. You can check this by connecting to your VPN and clicking the links below:

If you can’t access above URL, please make sure that you whitelist engageplatform.com with following subdomains.

2. It's critical that you are able to receive emails from Zeta Login. Please use the link below to check if you could receive a test email from Zeta Login:

3. If you could not receive the test email from Zeta Login through the link above, please work with your IT team to have the following whitelisted:

  • From Address:
    • US: no-reply@us.engageplatform.com
    • EU: no-reply@eu.engageplatform.com

4. Please create a ticket named “Zeta Login admins” with names of users that should be able to add/disable users of Selligent or manage Business Units. We will give them the required permissions in Zeta Login. Note that these are preparations that will be done up front, which will only become active when the roll-out takes place.

5. All users that logged on during 6 months before roll-out, will get invitations automatically.

For existing users, setting up Zeta Login is a simple, self-guided process that should take less than 5 minutes for each user. Once an account is rolled out to Zeta Login by Selligent, users will receive an invitation link to Zeta Login. From there, they can set up a password and follow the guided process to create their new Zeta Login account. Their existing accounts will be automatically linked, with all applicable permissions as before.

Will this upgrade affect the existing API integration with Selligent?

This upgrade will only affect how end users log in to Zeta products. The existing API integration will not be impacted.

My organization connects to Selligent through SSO. Do I still need Zeta Login?

As Zeta Login is the foundational component for the next generation of Zeta products and services, and many new features and functionality will require Zeta Login to be enabled, we require all our customers to onboard onto Zeta Login.

Your roll-out timeline will be different from the above, as there is a separate process for SAML SSO integration.

Note: We will contact you in case of any changes that need to happen at your side.

My organization uses SMS as a two-factor authentication, what will happen with that?

Zeta Login currently offers 2-FA via email as well as authentication via authenticator apps (such as Google Authenticator). Selligent customers that are currently using SMS can choose to use the email 2FA or one of the other options available in Zeta Login, such as multi-factor authentication via an authenticator app.

As the URL of the Login page will change, will images in my emails still work?

Indeed, the URL of the login page is changing, but this has no impact on the images which will continue to work.

Our Selligent instance is not running on the SaaS infrastructure. Will we also be impacted?

The Zeta Login roll-out only affects the Selligent instances running within our SaaS. In-house environments will only become candidates for Zeta Login if they move across to our SaaS.

Will clients need to recreate user accounts and reassign permissions in Selligent and Campaign?

No. Existing active user accounts in Selligent will be automatically linked using the user’s email address, and their current permissions will stay the same.

Note that this only concerns the Selligent cloud-based version and does not impact any Campaign self-hosted version (only Campaign-users on Selligent are impacted).

What will happen to users who have not logged on during 6 months before roll-out?

As mentioned above, all users that logged on in the 6 months prior to roll-out, will receive invitations.

After the roll-out, new users can be created on Zeta Login side. If their email address matches an existing user, they will be mapped. If not, a new user is created with basic permissions.

Zeta Login Admins will be able to create new users.

How will the current IP Whitelisting configuration in Selligent be handled when Zeta Login is active?

IP Whitelisting will move to Zeta Login and will use the same logic (meaning that it only applies to logging on).

Also note that Password Policy is another configuration that will move from Selligent's Admin Configuration section to Zeta Login.
