Getting Started with Rewards

Overview

A Reward refers to different assets that Members can gain by redeeming a specified number of Metrics. For example, "spend 100 Points to get a 20% off coupon." Rewards encourage participation in your loyalty program by incentivizing Members to gain Metrics, as these Metrics can then be exchanged for tangible benefits. The platform supports a wide range of Reward types that define what Members gain when they spend their accrued Metrics, such as: gift cards, badges, entry in a contest, discounts, promotional prices, or a physical product for example.

Rewards can be made available to all of your Members, or they can be targeted to only certain Members. Targeting a Reward is managed through the use of Segments and / or Places. Segments use logical conditions to define the criteria for inclusion (see Getting Started with Segments for more information); Places allow you to define geographical places such as stores or kiosks (see Getting Started with Places for more information).

Rewards feature other configuration options as well, such as how frequently a Member can redeem it. For example, let's say you want to encourage your Gold Tier Members to spend their accrued loyalty points by offering a special "$10 off" coupon if they spend 100 points. The Member is allowed to redeem the Reward multiple times, but only once per week. The platform allows you to configure the Reward settings to target the desired tier, provide a coupon code for the discount, and set a limit on how often a Member can redeem the Reward (once every 7 days).
