Program Setting Category - Bonus Offer

The Bonus Offer Category includes the following Program Settings.

Max Per Transaction

This Program Setting allows the client to set a limit on the number of Bonus Offers that can be applied toward a single purchase.

To edit this Program Setting

  1. On the Program Settings screen, search for and select the Max Per Transaction setting.

  2. Toggle Apply Limit to On.

  3. In the Max Per Transaction field, enter the maximum number of Bonus Offers that can be applied toward a purchase. Note that Bonus Offers that have been configured as "Always Apply" still count toward this limit.

  4. Click Save.

Line-Item Stacking

Bonus Offers can optionally be allowed to "stack," meaning that a Member can apply multiple Bonus Offer calculations on the same purchase. If enabled, this Program Setting allows a Member to stack multiple Bonus Offers that are applied at a product level, to the same product.

To enable this Program Setting:

  1. On the Program Settings screen, search for and select the Line-Item Stacking setting.

  2. Check Line-Item Stacking.

  1. Click Save.

Transaction / Bill Stacking

Bonus Offers can optionally be allowed to "stack," meaning that a Member can apply multiple Bonus Offer calculations on the same purchase. If enabled, this Program Setting allows a Member to stack multiple Bonus Offers that are applied at a purchase level, to the same purchase.

To enable this Program Setting:

  1. On the Program Settings screen, search for and select the Transaction / Bill Stacking setting.

  2. Check Transaction / Bill Stacking.

  1. Click Save.

Priority Order

Bonus Offers can optionally be allowed to "stack," meaning that a Member can apply multiple Bonus Offer calculations on the same purchase. If a Member uses multiple applicable Bonus Offers for a purchase, the Priority Order determines which Bonus Offers are used. For example, let's say a Member has three Bonus Offers, but the Max Per Transaction Program Setting (see above) is set to "2." In this scenario, the Priority Order would determine which two Bonus Offers actually get applied.

To configure this Program Setting:

  1. On the Program Settings screen, search for and select the Priority Order setting.

  2. Select one of the following:

    • Earliest Expiry: Use the Bonus Offer with the earliest expiration date. If tied, use the Bonus Offer that grants the highest Metric bonus. If still tied, use the Bonus Offer with the oldest creation date.

    • Max Bonus Points: Use the Bonus Offer that grants the highest Metric bonus. If tied, use the Bonus Offer with the earliest expiration date. If still tied, use the Bonus Offer with the oldest creation date.

  1. Click Save.
