Configure Gift Card Class Advanced Options

The Advanced Options tab of the Gift Card Class Details screen contains a variety of different features and options, organized into sections. These sections are described below in more detail.

To edit the options within a specific section:

  1. Select Transactions from the top navigation bar, then select Settings > Gift Card Classes from the side navigation menu. The Gift Card Classes screen is displayed.

  2. Search for and select the desired Gift Card Class (see Search for a Gift Card Class for more information on the available search options). The Gift Card Class Details screen is displayed, with the Definition tab selected.

  3. Select the Advanced Options tab.

  4. Click Edit (being sure to click the edit button within the desired section that you want to modify). The Edit Gift Card Class pop-up window is displayed.

  5. Enter the desired configuration options.

  6. Click Save.

Limits Section

This section is used to define various limitations or restrictions on Gift Cards within this Gift Card Class.

  • Overall Limit: Define a maximum limit (across all Members) of Gift Cards that can be issued within a specified time period (or all time). Uncheck No Limit to enable this feature. Enter the limit, and select the time period from the drop-down menu (for example, "1000 per month").

  • Maximum Responses per Member: Define a maximum limit (per Member) of Gift Cards that can be issued within a specified time period (or all time). Uncheck No Limit to enable this feature. Enter the limit, and select the time period from the drop-down menu (for example "1 per month").

  • Response Interval: Define a period of time that must elapse after a Member is issued a Gift Card, before they can be issued another Gift Card. Uncheck No Limit to enable this feature. Enter an interval and a period of time (such as “15 days” for example).

  • Maximum Balance per Member: Define a maximum Gift Card balance (per Member) across all of a Member's Gift Cards. Uncheck No Limit to enable this feature. Enter the limit.

Message Section

This section allows you to select a Message to send when a Member is issued a Gift Card. From the Message drop-down menu, select the desired Message.
